Mike Hamilton-Jenkins – Principal Technologist

With over 30 years’ industry experience, Mike has a wide technical knowledge of information and communications technologies. He is adept with solving complex problems that involve a mix of technology, process and analysis.

In his former role as Consulting Network Architect Mike advised on future technologies at Spark New Zealand and its predecessor Telecom New Zealand. As such Mike has developed a broad understanding of current and emerging network technologies and the industry environment that nurtures them. He has deep experience in strategic analysis, with the use of scenario planning techniques and critical thinking to develop realistic network plans for periods of rapid market and technology change. He is also adept at developing models that address business value, traffic engineering and system reliability problems.

Mike is an experienced Enterprise Architect with particular strengths in network architecture and service provider networks as well as in the development of architectures that decouple service and technology concerns.

Mike has a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Canterbury.
